Fall action songs for kids!

Hookey Spookey
Cut one 14 inch orange and one 14 inch black crepe paper streamer per child. Either loosely tie on each wrist or have child hold one in each hand. Sing the Hokey Pokey song, revised: Put your orange hand in,
Put your orange hand out,
Put your orange hand in and you shake it all about.
You do the Hookey Spookey and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about.

Repeat: black hand...
orange leg...
black leg...
whole self.

Pumpkin Chant Start by holding up 5 fingers above opposite wrist, wiggle hand
"5 little pumpkins sitting on a gate." (hold up 1 finger for 1st pumpkin then 2 etc.) The 1st one said "my it's getting late". The 2nd one said "there are witches in the air". The 3rd one said "I don't care". The 4th one said let's run let's run". The 5th one said "Isn't Halloween fun?" (make swishing gesture) Then swish went the wind and out went the lights and the 5 little pumpkins rolled out of sight. (roll hand over hand)

If You're A Ghost and You Know It (to the tune of If You're Happy and you know it)
If you're a ghost and you know it,
Just say Boo
If you're a ghost and you know it,
Just Say BOO
If you're a ghost and you know it and you really want to show it...
If you're a ghost and you know it just say BOO

If you're a black cat and you know it
Just say Meow
If you're a black cat and you know it
Just say Meow
If you're a black cat and you know it
And you really want to show it,
If you're a black cat and you know it Just say Meow

If you're a skeleton and you know it,
Wiggle your bones (shake your body)
If you're a skeleton and you know it,
Wiggle your bones
If you're a skeleton and you know it,
And you really want to show it
If you're a skeleton and you know it,
Wiggle your bones.

If you love being scared and you know it
Do all three (all 3 actions in order of appearance)
If you love being scared and you know it
Do all three
If you love Halloween and you know it
And you really want to show it,
If you love being scared and you know it
Do all three

Chant (similar to "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on Bed")
Five baby pumpkins rockin' in the patch.
One rolled over and hit the thatch.
Mama called the farmer and the farmer said: "Do that again and you'll crack your head!
"Four baby pumpkins rockin' in the patch.
One rolled over and hit the thatch.
Mama called the farmer and the farmer said: "Do that again and you'll crack your head!"
And so on--Last verse: One little pumpkin rockin' in the patch. It rolled over and hit the thatch. Mama called the farmer and the farmer said: "It must be time for you to go to bed!"

The Pumpkins are Here - (sung to: "The Farmer in the Dell").
The pumpkins are here, the pumpkins are there. The pumpkins, the pumpkins are everywhere.
The pumpkins are up; the pumpkins are down. The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all around.
The pumpkins are in; the pumpkins are out. The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all about.
The pumpkins are low; the pumpkins are high. The pumpkins, the pumpkins all say, "Good-bye".
Cut out pumpkin shapes and glue to popsicle sticks. Let the children use these as props when you sing this song.
